An uninterruptible power supply, also uninterruptible power source, UPS or battery backup, is an electrical apparatus that provides emergency power to a load when the input power source fails. A UPS differs from an auxiliary or emergency power system or standby generator in that it will provide instantaneous or near-instantaneous protection from input power interruptions by means of one or more attached batteries and associated electronic circuitry. The on-battery runtime of most uninterruptible power sources is relatively short—5–15 minutes being typical for smaller units—but sufficient to allow time to bring an auxiliary power source on line, or to properly shut down the protected equipment.

A video of my Home Theatre room I recently completed. Given the smallish nature of my garage 3m x 9m I wasn’t sure I could convert it into a HT room. I then saw someone online who had converted a smaller space into a HT room so I started drawing up the plans for my conversion. Took 3-4 months to do, after a lot of research online I did everything myself except the electrical connections and carpet. Running 6.1 setup but only have 5.1 installed at the moment. Full HD Sony projector running to a Yamaha amp and PS3. Bi-Omni speakers cables through-out. Screen was made from block out cloth attached to a frame, stretched and stapled clockwise around. Split level was built out of timber frames 1 foot wide, with yellow tongue floor ontop. Plasterboards are 13mm soundcheck all around great sound absorption. Any questions let me know.

My updated home theater with many suggestions from fellow YouTube watchers! My equipment is an Onkyo TX-NR709 avr, Polk Monitor 70’s fronts, Polk CS-20 center, Polk TSi-100 surrounds, Rotel RB985 amp, BenQ W6000 projector, Lutron MH600 remote controlled dimmer switch, and a Logitech Harmony One universal remote. This is a 3rd floor converted dormer bedroom. I did all the work myself save the electricians installing the recessed lights and ceiling power outlet (to the projector). The closet has an interior eletrical outlet for a future fridge and microwave. The entry door is weatherstripped to minimize sound leakage. I use remote controlled electrical outlets for the ceiling-mounted projector and the Rotel amplifier. Awsome sound for not spending much money. Thanks for the many YouTube suggestions on my previous 2011 video!
