  1. @MALIRIPPA Yeah there is really no way to hook it up to a tv unless it has a video out which most dont.

  2. @rockey90 Wow is a vcr or cable box really nécessary??

  3. @MALIRIPPA You have to have some kind of a tuner to hook it up to (like a cable box or vcr). I was using a vcr in this video. Then you Just use the cable box or vcr’s remote to change channels just like you would on a tv.

  4. so how did you change channel and hook it up to ur tv?

  5. @rocky90 Thanks

  6. @epothos1 Infocus is coming out with a very nice projector which is better than this one for very cheap. If you dont have a whole lot of money to spend on a projector (like me) this might be the best one for you to get. It is called the infocus IN112. It is much brighter than my projector and the bulb lasts 5,000 or 6,000 hours compared to mine which lasts only 1,000. It also has a better contrast ratio and resolution than mine. It only costs $339. They didnt say how much $ bulbs are yet though.

  7. @epothos1 Bulbs are usually very expensive (like $300, $400, $500 and sometimes even much more) but with this projector they retail for only $99.99. They have a life expectancy of 1000 hours. The only problem is infocus stopped making the bulbs so when mine goes out the projector becomes a paperweight. For that reason I use it 5 times a year max. I use it for special events like the superbowl and New Years. I also show movies outside on the end of our house which is atleast a 200 inch screen!

  8. what about bulbs about how much a year do you spend on those im interested buying a projector the only thing is the bulbs also how often do you use the projector

  9. @rockey90
Gotcha. I still think $200 for standard def is a little steep. Personally, our family has been looking to replace our 25+ Year old CRT set. The screen is starting to yellow in spots and doesn’t always display colors correctly. Since we’re on a tight budget, we’ve been shopping for a rear projection set. You can get a decent hd one for 150-200 dollars on a good day on Craiglist if you live in the right spot (many of them are just out of our traveling distance).

    Good luck. ☺

  10. @2BunnyReturns I didn’t expect it to be HD quality. I bought it because I am on a limited budget and its all i could afford. In my opinion its a really good projector for the price of $200 that i paid for it. I even had it up over 100 inches and it still looks good. If it wasn’t for this projector I wouldn’t have one at all because I couldn’t afford it.

  11. @rockey90
Component is capable of 1080p, the highest HD possible, but only if the source supports HD. Most DVD players have component, but because DVD video is only 720×480 instead of 1920×1080, it isn’t quite as good.

  12. @rockey90
Too bad. If that projector had a VGA Plug, you could’ve snagged an HD tuner and plugged your computer into it and seen some nice resolution. Screen size is nothing. It does look pretty good for 80 inches though – then again, I am watching the movie in a 640×480 (or so) four inch section of my screen ☺.

  13. @2BunnyReturns The resolution is 640×480.

  14. @rockey90
Really? What is the maximum resolution?

  15. @turgore It has a really good picture but it is not HD. Looks good on tv as you can see but if you play hd video games on it(PS3 and Xbox 360), its not that good. Really good projector though for the price. I got my off ebay for $200.

  16. that looks really nice … is it HD ?

  17. @spamito1987 Just use a standard red white and yellow composite a/v cord. Plug one end into the output on the vcr and the other end into the projector. Remember to push the source button on the projector to get it to display it. Also you have to turn the vcr on and use the vcr remote to change the channels.

  18. what cord did you use to hook up to the projector and VCR, my husband and i tried that and it didnt work :(

  19. @PittsburghFan71 No it doesnt display in hd. Just allows you to plug component hd inputs into it but then it scales it down.

  20. PittsburghFan71 on January 25th, 2012 at 11:57 am

do you know if you can play ps3 in hd

  21. @PittsburghFan71 It has component inputs on it so you can plug hd sources into it but the resolution is not hd so it will not look like hd. I plugged an hd upconverting dvd player into mine and the picture is really good but it is not hd quality.

  22. PittsburghFan71 on January 25th, 2012 at 11:57 am

do you know if you can get an hd vcr hooked up to that to play hd movies

  23. @CustomJ Same here. I just cant see paying the crazy prices they charge to go to the theatre. When I see a movie in the theatre I want to see I wait untill it comes on dvd and I buy it.

  24. I have the Infocus too now. I got it this week. And let me tell you, the thought of actually paying money to go to the movies now, makes me want to puke!

  25. @Olvr00007 Yeah I saw that. The IN1 that I got in these videos is recertified. It is supposed to have atleast 75% bulb life left so that would be 700 hours. I got mine off of ebay about a year ago. I dont use it too much but the bulb is still good in mine.
