Is it a good idea to fully use up all the battery on my new blackberry for the first few times?

I heard that for the battery to last long you’re supposed to use up your battery until it shuts down for the first 3 times, but I also heard that for blackberries it is unneccessary and doing that will actually harm the battery. So, should I drain out my battery because theres only 5% left or should I charge it now? (It’s a lithium ion battery)

  1. Lithium Ion batteries don’t have the old charge memory problem that beleagured NiCad batteries so you can charge a Li-on battery at any time in its charge cycle.

  2. Absolutely! At first, charge the phone till it’s 100%, and then completely drain it, so that it turns off automatically. Do this 3 times. This drastically increases overall battery life!

  3. Lithium ion battery are advanced so much that you don’t have to worry about that
